 Elaborately
laid out along the slope of the HuiShan mountain range at the end
of 1970s, Azalea Garden is abundant in azalea,the city flower of Wuxi.It
won the first place of the National Vine Design Prize and also it
was a winner of sci-tech progress prize.
Everywhere in the garden you'll find azalea in more than 300 species.
In early summer here is "a sea of intoxicating crimson ".All
the year round there are beautiful scenes:the grotesque Xinfang ravine,the
mirror-like pond with floating water lily,ever- bubbling
Zuichen spring hidden in a corner and the zigzag long corridor.In
addition,several serene,tasteful halls and pavilions provide you with
places to enjoy flowers and scenes.Among the flowers,the stone tablet
with Chen Yi's poem Azalea inscribed on it is especially conspicuous.The
garden features pleasant slopes,miniature trees&rockery in yard,green
and thick woods and tranquil and elegant environment.Though it was
build only recently,yet it is immersed in the style of an ancient
garden.
