| HUISHAN-TEMPLE lies in xiouzhang-door
on HUISHAN-mountain. Established in the south and north dynasties
and already laster more than 1500 years up to now.Its predecessor
is a house("li shan chao tang") of ZHAN-TING,an offical
of the south dynasty. Afterwards it transformed into a monk
house, call "HUA SHAN JING SHE".In DA TONG 3rd year
of Liang Dynasty, "HUA SHAN JING SHE" renamed to HUISHAN-temple.
It was revitalized and abolished several times for over 1000
years.Many eminent monks have ever taken charge here and other
celebrity came here for enjoying themselves. Emperor KANG XI
and QIAN LONG have ever patrol the south for 6 times respectively,and
come here to burn incense and worship buddha. KANG XI has enjoyed
spring at "YI LAN TANG". QIAN LONG has ever had rest
in "QING YUAN"(JI CHANG-garden) and "ZHU LU SHAN
FANG". He wrote much poesy and horizontal inscribed board,
and autographed for "HUISHAN-mountain".Because HUISHAN-mountain
located in the scenic spot, its name and the good reputation
of "the second spring of the world" were well-kown
everywhere.At Tang Song dynasty, there was heavy worshipping.
The temple area covers "YU GONG -galley" and "JI
CHANG-garden" etc., and there were 1098 monk houses.Today,
historical site kept in temple include: the Ancient Huashan
Door,TANG SONG STONE SUTRA WALL, HALL OF BUDDHA'S WARRIOR, FRAGRANT
FLOWER BRIDGE,SUN AND MOON POOL, GOLD LOTUS BRIDGE, GOLD LOTUS
POOL, STONE-TABLET OF EMPEROR PAVILION, HARKING PINE STONE BED,
ANCIENT GINKGO TREE. |
ANCIENT
HUASHAN DOOR is main entrance of HUISHAN temple.It
is one side that has three arched door yellow wall which full
of Buddhism color.The gold word of "GU HUA SHAN MEN"
is engraved on the wall-door. It is taken from the ancient
name of HUI-Mountain, HUASHAN. The door faces to the LONGGUANG-tower,
which compose the first scene of HUISHAN-temple.
